Lawmakers this week are discussing a bill that heavily taxes legal marijuana. According to the article below, the bill includes a 15% excise tax and a 15% special sales tax. Plus, you can’t forget about the existing local and state taxes.
So if this passes illegal marijuana sales might be just as high as the legal marijuana sales. And I’m guessing a lot more people will start researching ways to grow their own.

We all know California is broke. If Colorado approves a 38% tax bill on legal ganja then what’s going to happen when California legalizes it? Everything in California is already more expensive so I can only assume that our broke-ass state is going to hit us Californians hard with a marijuana tax.
So would you pay a 38% tax to get your hand on some legal, medical cannabis?
