The collective was founded in the summer of 2012 with the goal of providing high grade medical marijuana at affordable prices while compiling a combination of lab derived analytics and first hand accounts from users. C.R.A.F.T. aims to publish these objective and subjective findings together in a comprehensive patient’s guide to every strain under the sun, making specific herbal diagnoses even easier.
In the meantime, you’ll have to make do with advice from their friendly phone operators. Ordering over the phone may sound off putting to those of us accustomed to sniffing every jar and inspecting every flower, but the service at C.R.A.F.T. is strong enough that you hardly miss a trichome. If you’re into the analytics and know exactly what you want, their detailed online menu should be all you need, but if you’re new to the experience and need a little more help, simply describe your condition and the type of relief you seek. From there, C.R.A.F.T. can recommend the right strain for your individual needs.
In every area of their operation, this collective proves itself more than your average cannabis club. Their exhaustive scientific testing covers potency, molds, fungus, and any other contaminants and they put every strain they can find in the Bay Area under the microscope. Clean Green certified by the USDA, C.R.A.F.T. believes in harvesting marijuana with an absolute minimum of environmental detriment, harmonizing your medicine even further with the world around you. Granted collective status by the city of Berkeley, C.R.A.F.T. is not a dispensary, rather a home operated care provider.
Mission, service, bonafides, these are fine and dandy, but you’re here for the buds. Let me tell you first hand, they are dank, fresh, and about as heady as I’ve seen. Of the seven strains I’ve tasted, the mid and lower shelf options held their weight in their respective classes and every top shelf variety has been superb. Tangelo Kush, a limited designer strain that only pops up every so often, is full of the citrus flavor burst and blissed out high the name implies. Three Kings, a recent addition, is an intensely euphoric Sativa blend and Turban, a collective favorite, dazzles visually with a jungle of crystals, hairs, and the odd deep purple leaf, following with a taste and high worthy of the same praise.
In order to claim it, you’ll need a valid California Driver’s License, your Medical Marijuana prescription, and a minimum purchase of $50, $100 if you’re more than 15 miles from the Berkeley border.
I’m fairly new to the delivery experience, but thus far, no one’s done it better than C.R.A.F.T. Sure, I’ll keep my nose to the wind and keep sniffing out new greenery, it’s just nice to know I have a reliable source of dankness over in East Bay.
