XJ-13 is an 80% sativa dominant strain. With all that sativa dominance, you’d think XJ-13 would act the part, but it does not. The buds are short and chubby, reminiscent of an indica strain. They are dark sage green, angular and irregularly shaped, with some of the sweetest little orange hairs you’ve ever seen. And the crystal count must be off the charts. XJ-13 would make some amazing keif.
XJ-13 is really pleasant to smoke, and tastes like the best bud should; like flowers and the aromatic sensations of the world, not like ash or tar. It tastes great.
XJ-13 hits you slowly. It is a creeper, and with excess imbibage, a sleeper. XJ-13 is definitely relaxing and truly expresses it’s indica personality far more than the sativa dominance would suggest.
The head remains clear while the body relaxes deeply. Though too much XJ-13 can bring on uber-laziness (he said uber!), it is great for taking the edge off after a long day. If you want to sleep better, too much XJ-13 will do the trick.
XJ-13 seems a bud best suited for a mildly chill workout session to unwind after work. Perhaps yoga, tai-chi, or qi-gong would be best. Failing these, a walk in the woods on XJ-13 is just right.
XJ-13 also lends itself to the meditative side of life and is good for relaxing the mind, as well as the body. It can be head heavy at times, and as such, can make a depressing mood more so.
Overall XJ-13 gets a high rating for its smooth taste and delivery of THC. It comes on slowly and lingers. It lets you down slowly and allows you to continue as if nothing happened at all, rather than making you feel like you just woke up from the worst nap ever.
XJ-13 is sedative, but just energizing enough to allow one to stay present and grounded in reality if they so choose.
What are your thoughts on this tasty sativa dominant hybrid that acts like an indica? XJ-13, do you love it?
